Please download the latest version to fix this problem. If you cannot download the update, set the date back one month on the computer and the message will disappear until you can get the latest release version.

New linking options for Sorter and Movie Organizer.

New movie searching features for Sorter and Movie Organizer. The Sorter and Movie Organizer will find linked movies when the movies have been relocated. It searches the folder where the file resides for the movies first. Then, searches the file path that it was originally made using. Then, searches the volume the file is on. (It ignores folders: Applications, Library, System, and Developer). Then, searches all connected volumes networked, USB, or firewire.
The process will search 6 folders deep in these locations. We plan to make this a preference in the near future.

Better Spaces functionality in Leopard.

SportsCode 7.0.4 and SportsCode Gamebreaker 7.0.4 release is now available. Find them in the Downloads area.
Following bug fixes:
Database progress bar is removed if an error is encountered.
With selection order in the timeline activated, the instances were populated with [0] where they should be populated with the order number.

For everyone receiving their version 7 license upgrades, here are a few things to know.
1. Version 7 requires Mac OS X 10.4.9 or above.

2. Version 7 registration codes have V7 in the code.

3. Each license can only be used on one machine at a time. Do not try registering it on two or more machines, it will not work.

4. If you have a version 5 or version 6 registered on a computer, you must use the version 7 code where the first 5 numbers match the first 5 numbers of the code that is currently registered on that machine. Here is an example of the pattern. (The numbers that follow the first 5 are unique to every code.)

5. To find out which code is registered on a machine. Launch SportsCode and select System information... from the SportsCode drop down menu (Next to the apple in upper left hand corner of the screen). You will find the code in the Online ID line of the output window near the top.

6. After matching the codes, you can register the version 7 software right over the top of the old one.

Updates and new features:
Linking options for movie organizer instances. Hold down OPTION and right click on the instance to reveal linking options. These features are used when movies have been relocated.
1. Relink all instances with common movie link name to movie.
2. Relink this instance to movie.
3. Relink all selected instances to movie.
If the movie organizer is moved and the linked movies are moved, it is best to put them in the same folder. The movie organizer will look in the folder where it resides first for the linked movies and you will not need to relink the movies.

Apple just released Quicktime 7.3. Please wait for at least 2 weeks before updating your SportsCode systems. We are not expecting any major problems, but we will not know until we test further.

Sportstec is excited to announce the release of SportsCode version 7! This version is packed with new features for Elite, Elite Review, Pro, Pro Review, and Player.

A few of the new features are:
Stack and merge timelines - A new tweak on splice instance movies, create multiple angles of video in one movie window.
Sorter window - Use new label grouping options to sort instances by frequency, name, or movie time. Add instance notes, edit label information, or change instance start and end times, then sync updates back to the timeline.
Code output - Drive statistical information into the code window, change colors of buttons, and push buttons up or down using scripts that read information from the timeline.
Statistical scripts - A new set of statistical commands that can derive complex numerical analysis from data in the timeline.
Client / Server communications - Control multiple client computers capture and code processes. Code from multiple remote computers to central capture location. This feature extends beyond the local area network to the internet, so it is possible to code across the world.
Label mode - Add or subtract labels in the instances of a timeline using the code window. Each instance is set to loop, so they can be reviewed and labelled very quickly before moving on to the next one.
Label tree - A new approach to the master labels list, label trees create a hierarchical menu that branches out horizontally to make menu selections faster and more organized.
Apple and Commando remote - New customization options for the Apple and Commando remotes.
Movie Organizer - The Elite movie organizer is now available in Pro.

There are literally hundreds of changes in this version. It is Leopard & Tiger compatible and will run on both Intel and PowerPC Macs.

This version requires a V7 registration code. If you do not have a V7 registration code, please contact your regional Sportstec representative. Version 7 is a chargeable upgrade unless you have purchased the software in the last 12 month or you on a current support commitment.

You can download version 7 from the Downloads section. This is a single download for Elite, Elite Review, Pro, Pro Review, and Player. The registration code will unlock the appropriate features for each level of software.

This download does not include the manual. The manual will be available in English in the coming weeks. Due to so many new features and changes in functionality, the manual has been a total rewrite. We apologize for this inconvenience.

This version is for English only. We are working on the software and menu translations now. We expect the translations to be completed in a few weeks.

Please stay tuned to the website on a regular basis. Since Apple released Leopard only last week, we expect that we will continue to find small bugs until the new operating system settles down.
